Benefits Of a Trampoline

If you've ever asked yourself "what are the benefits of a trampoline"?

From my perspective there are a number of benefits to being a trampoline owner and user.

  • Keeps the kids from sitting inside watching to much TV.
  • If you want a great workout, it doesn't take long for the heart rate and legs to start burning after being on the trampoline for only a few minutes.
  • The cost of owning a trampoline aren't that expensive, especially if you get rid of cable over the summer months.
  • Did I mention you get a great workout....and being outside is never a bad thing.

As I get older, I definitely see the benefits of a trampoline more in terms of getting my kids (family) into a doing mode rather than watching life go by.

Being involved in any physical activity is a good thing, to often our modern culture puts us on our butt to often. The benefit of being active is not just the physical benefits, but also the mental aspect that comes into play.

I didn't list off many benefits of a trampoline above, because I don't think it's about the number of benefits here, it's about getting out of the house and being active...and my kids are doing just that with our trampoline. It gets used everyday, when this one wears out...I'll buy another trampoline.

Spring Covers for Trampolines

Yes...you do need a trampoline spring cover!

It's only common sense to make sure no one gets hurt by pitching themselves in a spring....cover those springs up. Not to mention springs are metal and when body parts hit metal...it hurts.

To get a basic cover to go over springs, you're probably looking at $80 - $100. Which isn't a huge price to pay for safety...of course some trampoline spring covers can cost much more if you want high-end product.

When looking for a cover, make sure that there is sufficient foam padding to help protect those using the trampoline. As well, you want to make sure that the tarp or outside of the trampoline cover is made of decent quality material...usually the thinner the easier it is for the material to rip.

Spring covers are important make sure you get one if yours doesn't exist or is in need of repair.
