Kids Trampoline Safety

I won't proclaim myself to be an expert on trampoline safety...but I do know a few things, simply because I have four great kids who love our trampoline.

So here's a few things to consider with your kids and keeping them safe:
(These are my trampoline safety rules, please do what's right for your situation.
You read these knowing that they are for information purposes only)

1. Trampoline Enclosures are a good thing. As much as some don't like enclosures, I know that ours has kept my kids from falling off the trampoline more than a few times.

2. The age old rule is to only have one person jumping on the trampoline at a time. This safety tip is great, except that kids do love to be on together. So, if you do happen to let two kids on, you need to be there to supervise closely. The jumping needs to be controlled. If you don't have an enclosure, I definitely wouldn't let two kids on.

3. Make sure your trampoline is in good working condition. It's not safe to let kids jump with missing springs, tear in the mat. Kids are worth more than a few bucks in making sure your trampoline is in good working order.

4. Don't let kids jump if the trampoline is wet. I've seen more than a few kids slip and hurt themselves by using a trampoline that has a wet mat.

5. Remove objects from trampolines. Kids seem to love bringing extra objects onto trampolines, these just create safety hazards whether they be balls or other toys.

That's all I've got for you at the moment. Please make an informative decision when it comes to keeping your kids safe on your trampoline. Supervision is a key factor at all times.

Take Care!
Allen
